the mantel show

This inaugural group show will feature handmade three-dimensional works perfect for displaying on a mantel, shelf, or tabletop. Support an artist while enhancing your home with a unique handmade piece.

Information for artists

the mantel show offers you the chance to display your work in a retail setting in the inner-city suburb of Forest Lodge in Sydney. Sarah Nolan, the owner of BRANCH3D, will curate the group show. Sarah has a background in running a vintage shop in the same space since 2015, specializing in ceramics and planters. Before the shop, she ran a window gallery where artists presented their installations to an unsuspecting audience each month. the mantel show will be open for viewing to the public 24/7 through the window, and for walk-ins three days a week. There are no fees for submitting your work proposal; a commission of 25% will be taken on any sales. All profits will be donated to The Nature Conservation Council, which supports community groups fighting to save the environment of NSW.

Between 100-120 works will selected for the final show.

Maximum size: 25cm height x 14cm width/depth

Maximum of two works (a work can be a pair)

Any material may be used

Functional or decorative optional

Maquettes accepted

No theme requirements

No statements or cv required
